Izumi Omori utilises her Japanese artistic and other cultural influences as she explores, absorbs, and interprets Earth’s nature around her, wherever she may find herself in this world.

Born at the foot of Mt Fuji in 1967, Izumi started painting at the age of three, and she has grown up with an intense love for the spectacle that nature so willingly offers. Like the pure water of the sacred mountain waterfalls, lakes, and rivers near her home town of Kofu, her passion to express the love of her surroundings within her art runs deep and vibrant in an enthusiastic colour of learning.

Izumi’s work features the magic, power, and miracles of our planet’s nature and beauty. Her paintings shimmer with light and living energy, capturing transitory moments of multifaceted life and growth, within layers of paint and texture. They have both strength and delicacy, a blending of the most powerful natural elements, along with Japanese style and sensitivity.

Each of Izumi’s paintings is a journey. She believes that art should penetrate more than just vision but should also touch many other senses and spiritual levels, and if she can communicate this within her work she will have found a true way to speak to all.
