Writing with Fire online course with Lucy H. Pearce

Come, join me, for
A month-long initiation of fire.
Part writing class. Part ritual.

Completely transformative.

via 3 Live Zoom circles and ongoing integrative activities.

In my work with hundreds of women over the past few years a theme has emerged: women’s desperate, unquenchable desire to step into their power, countered by the fear of what will happen if they do. The longing to express the riches inside them, wrestling with the deep terror of being burned by the judgement, hatred or rejection of strangers or loved ones if they do.

This fear of being burned is an oddly female one. It is a fear which keeps us small and scared. Women have an innate knowing of what it means to burn…and be burned. They know the dangers in their bones. And it makes them wary.

It is time – can you feel it? – to face your fears, break your silence, embody the fire and claim your voice. Learn how to harness archetype and metaphor to get to the beating heart of expressing your authentic self.

For almost two decades I have written words for women – in books and blogs and articles for magazines and newspapers. I have woven ceremonies and led groups, I have taught classes and talked and listened to women around the world. I know that there is a hunger, a yearning, right now. Many, many women can feel something stirring within, and they sense something stirring without. Something far bigger than just their desire to paint or write or a business or a protest. There is a collective burning igniting within women. A deep need to tell our stories and be heard. A longing to heal past hurts and move beyond them, into something big and bold and fresh and new.

Let us write through the fear together and – finally, finally – get through to the other side. Let us write the words that have been silenced. Let us be the selves we have been hiding in fear. Let us become who we are, by reclaiming ourselves – our voices, our stories, our thoughts and feelings – on paper. Let us write ourselves into becoming.

It is time.

Will you join us?

We often fear that the Revolution needed is too big for what we can give.

Too much change is required inside, outside.

And we are too small.

But all that is required is that you step into the truth of your life.

And speak it, write it, paint it, dance it.

That you shine your light on your truth, for the world to see.

And as hundreds, then thousands, then millions do this

– each sparking the courage of yet more –

Suddenly we have a world alight with truth.

This is the deepest dive, most powerful container I have ever offered.

I wanted to express how much I appreciate all the wonderful information, and the way it was presented. I feel hopeful and grounded simultaneously, and enjoyed the practical advice rooted in research and experience. I am reassured to know there are other highly sensitive, intuitive women like me navigating the world of publishing, social media and making a living as a creative.

Together we will learn:

  • How to shift from the mundane to the liminal.
  • To leave behind how we should write and what we should write and dedicate ourselves to the emergent – that which longs to emerge through us.
  • The raw, the real, the strange.
  • Accessing our Feminine flow.
  • Embodied writing practices.
  • Weaving word and image – crafting original and compelling metaphorical language.
  • Calling upon and writing from archetypal energy.
  • Accessing the authentic voice of many many aspects of yourself.
  • You don’t need to write like me… or even yourself.
  • Give yourself the freedom to not fit into anybody else’s expectation,
  • But rather to wonder at the strangeness of your own emergence
  • To get turned on by the fierce feminine that pours out of you onto the page.

We are shifting ourselves.

We are shifting the world.

Dancing her into a new orbit.

We are filling in the space where our voices were silenced

Filling in the blanks where our images have been lacking.

We are weaving her-story into reality.

Unweaving the limiting his-stories. Creating our-story.

Reaching beyond religion and patriarchy and capitalism and so-called democracy

Into new ways of being and seeing.

We are the bridge between worlds

We are the ones we have been waiting for.

The profound sense of safety and openness really stood out - both in the live Zoom gathering and the Facebook group, which was the most supportive, creative and respectful online space I've encountered in any course. Lucy has a rare gift for creating an environment where creativity blossoms and sharing feels natural, and sacred. Thank you so very much!
